We've Been Slacking.....

but we've been really busy.  The electric work is complete.  Just waiting on the Pepsi fountain to be installed.  Also the sandwich prep cabinet is needing work.  Hopefully both get taken care of soon!  Pepsi said within 3 weeks, which would be August 12/13 per the day they came to look things over.  Ice cream toppings are on the way and this week we will be ordering ice cream and the other stuff for sandwiches etc.  Coffee (lattes) stuff is here and waiting patiently.

More progress

The "secret room" isn't so secret anymore.  You can see it's location from down below.  It's still a ways from being finished and accessible.

Current new spot for our rocket!  

At the new building we will not be serving our regular menu at first.  There are regulations with the Kansas Department of Agriculture on what can and can't be served without a restaurant license.    We can serve a limited amount of prepackaged foods though.  This is part of our "temporary new kitchen".  We will have our drinks refrigerated and we also have some other treats that aren't pictured.

Pre-Packaged

At the new building when we are opening in the evenings, we can sell pre-packaged foods and drinks.  We have some of these items available for sale at our current location as well.  Cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip m&m cookies.  We also have hot & spicy chex mix and chocolate caramel chex mix.

Soups

WE have some pretty amazing homemade soups at Cosmic Castle.  Yes they are 100% homemade.


On Tuesday, when we also have our homemade chicken noodle dinner for supper, we have chicken noodle soup.



Wednesday we have homemade tomato soup, and offer a "Tom Grill Deal", which is a bowl of soup, a grilled cheese sandwich, and either a small coffee or  20 oz fountain drink.



Thursday we have some amazing homemade clam chowder!  We have heard from many of our customers that it's the best chowder they have had.

If you need a quick lunch or just wanting a bowl of soup, give us a try.  Our soups are available each day while it lasts, and available for dine in or take out.

Caramel Apple Crisp Sundae

Do you like homemade apple crisp?  How about apple crisp à la mode?

If you have never had our caramel apple crisp sundae you must give it a try sometime.

We make our own homemade crisp and our own whipped cream to add to this delicious dessert.  We top two generous scoops of the most delicious vanilla ice cream with both caramel and apple topping.

Goodness, I get busy and I forget to come post something.  We have a very busy week this week.  Not only are we having our soups, we are also adding another and having a little celebration.

Homemade Sugar Cookies

We recently purchased a convection oven so we can make our homemade cookies at Cosmic Castle.  I was a little nervous about using the new oven since I've never used one before.  I must say everyone who told me how easy and efficient convection ovens are were.  The only time I felt heat was when I opened the door, and set the hot pan out. 

 The cookies.....turned out absolutely amazing!  They are crispier, and have a more flaky texture than before.  We had a hard time just sampling one or two.  

Come have a cookie or two.  You'll be glad you did. 

Dog with Cheese

Have you ever had a hot dog with cheese sauce?  This isn't a normal menu item, but it kinda is.  This Jumbo Dog was ordered with a squirt of cheese sauce.  Adding something that doesn't already come on an item sometimes cost a little extra.  Cheese sauce is 25 cents for the jumbo and the regular dog.  The monster dog would be a little more since it requires a little more cheese.  We can also top this off with a little onion at no additional charge.

Our Hot dogs are all beef.  The Regular and Jumbo dogs are Nathan's brand hot dogs and our Monster dogs are Farmland brand.

Homemade Chicken Noodle Dinner

Starting Tuesday, September 30th, our Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup will be available during lunch, and until we run out.  Beginning at 5pm we will also be serving our Homemade Chicken Noodle Dinner.  They will continue every Tuesday until it warms up again.

Homemade Tomato Soup

Starting this week.....Wednesday September 24th, we will be serving homemade tomato soup every Wednesday until it gets warm again.  We will start serving it for lunch and will serve it until it is all sold, or 8:30pm, whichever comes first.

Sector 7

What's not to like about the Sector 7?  It is so amazing and chocolaty it should be illegal!  It has been our September special.  It will continue to be available after September, it will become a secret menu item.

All I will say about it is if you like our 6 Feet Under sundae you are sure to like the Sector 7.

S'more Sundae

Seriously, who can't resist our S'more Sundae?  We take the S'more to a whole new level.  Chocolate, Vanilla, Marshmallow, Homemade Whipped Cream, Chocolate drizzle and a S'more in the middle!

We're Glad it Turned Cold!

Ok, I know it sounds strange since we all are so ready for the warmer temps of spring.  We are glad it turned cold and we are convinced it did so just for us for Tuesday night.  Why?  Because it's the perfect weather for a Chicken Noodle Dinner.  After this Tuesday night we will be serving it 2 more Tuesday's.  It will return this fall after the weather cools off.

Easter Sundae

Today we took the Crane in to be repaired.  Hopefully it is back soon.  We are going to have some modifications to it.  Can't wait to get it back.

Now on to other things....you must come have an Easter Sundae before they are gone!
